How our wooden strainers are made

Our wooden strainers are handmade in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Each wooden strainer is carved and hand sanded to a smooth finish. Utilizing local resources is a priority for us. This allows us to be both friendly to the environment and supportive of local industry. We use hardwoods sourced from the Eastern United States. The wooden strainer is available in Black Cherry.

How to use your Lancaster wooden strainer

Handcrafted from Pennsylvania Cherry wood, our skimmer spoon is an excellent kitchen tool for cooking ravioli or tortellini, boiling eggs, skimming fat or meat from a pot, or serving up fresh vegetables.
