I named the store FRED’S to honor my dad, a chef and restaurant owner here in Massachusetts. When he passed away, I jetted off to Europe to grieve but spent most of the time in Paris (my happy place) to recover.
It was in Paris that I was inspired by a store called E. DEHILLERIN. That kitchen supply shop, along with the memory of my dad, inspired me to launch a kitchen and table shop when I finally returned to Boston.
This shop is a tribute to him and to keep his memory alive. I've poured my heart and soul into this little shop. We are excited to be back as a part of the South End community. We look forward to reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones!
