From sculptor and designer Julian Sainsbury of John Julian in Wilshire, England, the Black Linen Stripe collection is made for FRED'S from hearty stoneware.

A collection inspired by antique French household linen, designed for FRED'S by sculptor and designer Julian Sainsbury of John Julian in Wiltshire, England. Each piece is produced by painting the lines on a spinning plate of stoneware. Fired at exceptionally high heat, the hearty stoneware is suitable for domestic and commercial use, and for both indoors and out.

The Linen Stripe collection is inspired by antique French household linen for a classic but fresh look. John Julian Deep Bowls are simple and versatile, the classic design with a deep well and wide rim lends itself to soups, stews, pasta and desserts like apple crumble. The earthy stoneware adds a rustic feel in contrast to the striking black monochrome lines.

Their Classical Stoneware tableware has an earthy tone and it is fired at an exceptionally high heat, making it very robust and suitable for everyday use but refined enough for entertaining.
